I don't know why this is bothering me but I need an answer.
On Sunday I took out a chicken that was in the freezer to defrost for dinner. I had them in the fridge the whole day but we ended up eating at my parents. So I thought last night I would make the chicken for dinner but I ended up working very late and there was no way I was cooking the chicken. Is it safe for me to cook the chicjken tonight or should I throw it away? I never took it out of the fridge to fdefrost.

Re: Chicken question
If it's been in the fridge the whole time since you took it out of the freezer, it's okay to cook tonight.
Now my chicken question... what came first? The chicken or the egg?

If it hasn't been out of the fridge yet...it's still ok. I wouldn't wait any longer though...hope everything is yummy and FH does not get sick!!!

Re: Chicken question
Just read in magazine that poultry lasts 2 days in the fridge after or during defrosting.
Hope this helps!

A wise woman once told me let your nose guide you. If it smells ok, then cook it. If not, then toss it.

Re: Chicken question
I haven't opened the foil yet so when I get home if it smells funny I am dumping it.

Re: Chicken question
if its in the sealed package from the supermarket then one more day in the fridge should be fine, plenty of times I took a london broil or chicken out of my freezer and ate at moms or went out to eat and just made it the next day
