Chihuahua or puppy help!

Chihuahua or puppy help!

I've had my puppy for about a month now. She is very good- paper trained, knows how to sit, etc.

Well- starting last night- she decided that she ISN'T paper trained anymore. She went on the paper this morning- but today at work, she's gone on the floor 4 times!

I've caught her each time, said no, and soaked her pee into the pad so she knows that's where it goes.

This past weekend we were in RI- she was with us- and she was great- no accidents, nothing.. and now she is accident prone..

any advise?

I was having the same problem- we have a little guy too.
<------

We started off paper training him, but I couldn't stand the newspaper dirt all over my hardwood floors!!!
We actually started taking him outside just to play in the backyard, not even to go to pee, and he liked it better!
So when I brought him back into the house, he would sometimes go on the paper, sometimes, on the floor!!!
(He still isn't even close to being fully potty-trained- only 13 weeks old- but he's on his way).
So, have you maybe taken your dog outside??? He/she might have gotten a taste of the great outdoors.
Good Luck!!!
PS- my Vet keeps telling me that little dogs take a lot longer to potty-train- expect around 6 months!!!???

she goes both outside and on the paper (not newspaper, but the wee wee pads)... she really doesn't seem to prefer either way, and she doesn't beg to go out or anything...

It is probably a relapse- but I could really kill her.

Mayve being away for the weekend was confusing for her (even if she was good while you were away) ...

Its most likely a phase - my guy in the pic would actually pee NEXT TO the wee wee pad while looking at me.

Just keep doing what you are doing. When the pup goes potty where they should and you see it bend down and say in a soothing tone good boy and pet him - dogs are very eager to please.

Good luck - I swear it gets better.

It's definitely the vacation ... it threw her off. Give her time to get back into the swing of things. Remember, she's just a baby.

Also, I sound like a commerical lately, but seriously consider investing in a dog door. You won't regret it.
