Child Care Rates, please help -- URGENT!

Hi,

Someone has asked me to watch their two boys. ages 1 and 2. In addition, I will have my 6 month old daughter (I know, I am crazy). Anyway, they were asking me what I wanted to be paid.

What can I say that is fair? I was thinking $10 an hour. It is for two kids, an infant and a toddler. And it is long days, 3 days a week, 7:45-6:30.

Do you think this is fair or too much, or too little?

I dont know.. I know $10 doesnt seem like that much but if you add it up its like $1300+ a month right?

It is 2 children though... *just thinking out loud*

For one child 5 days a week from 7:30 - 5:00 I pay $700 a month for preschool.

I paid $1,000 a month for the same thing when I had a private sitter..

Two is a whole new ballgame.. I would say $10 and see what she says.

Denise at least 10. an hour..2 kids is a lot, especially with a toddler. I'd say 12. although I know too to a parent it adds up by the month.

Well, apparently she has changed her mind. I guess $10 was too much for her for two toddlers. And, even though I went down to $9, I think she was upset that I asked for $10.

Anyway, she has changed her mind and I am now available, if anyone is interested. If anyone needs someone to look after their children or knows someone who needs this, please let me know. I have great experience and can provide excellent references.

I also have great flexibility and I will be very reasonable (as you have seen) with my rates.
