Child Favors?

Child Favors?

FH and I just realized that we are going to have more little ones at the wedding than we originally thought. They are all family, so it isn't a huge deal.

But, should we get them a different favor? We were thinking coloring books...that way they could color instead of getting in trouble at the wedding. What do you think?

I am having kids at the wedding and not giving them different favors. Only giving the FG and RB something the night of the RD

i might ... not sure yet..

my friend had kid tables (i think anyone under 12) and instead of centerpieces she had a big silver bucket (planter?) filled with stuff from party city. stuff u would see in goodybags. finger trap things, silly glasses, noise makers (u couldnt hear any over the music and talking), silly straws, sticker earrings.. .what else? hmmm so if u are not having a kid table maybe u can make individual goody bag type things (bride and groom boxes from the dollar store)

good luck

We had about 7 kids under the age of 11, and we did little goody bags for each of them. I basically raided the dollar store and filled the bags with:

coloring books
activity/games book (made this at home - they have templates online)
crayons/markers
erasers, mini notepads and pencil cases (spiderman for the boys)
little lip glosses for the girls
stickers

I also threw in a few snacks as well (juice box, fruit roll up, granola bar).

They went over really well, and kept the kids occupied during the reception!

Coloring books are great.

If you are having a dedicated kids table, I saw a great centerpiece idea with a bucket filled with giant lollipops. Maybe you could even get like chocolate flower lollipops.

Also, the parents will DEFINITELY thank you for keeping them busy.

Great idea!, coloring books and a pack of crayons is always a good idea!

I made goodie bags which served as placecards for the kids. I put crayons/markers/coloring pencils, an activity book, a mini-game of scrabble and other games - jax, tic-tac-toe, etc..

I did goodie bags also. I used the wedding activity book template and added some of my own pages. I bought coloring books, crayons, stickers, and age appropriate toys for each child. I picked up little things at the 99 cent store, $1 section at Target, etc. It kept them busy so the parents were able to relax a little and have a good time too!

We did goodie bags for the 10 kids that showed (and extras for those that didn't that their grandparents brought back for them). Since we had a nautical theme, the bag contents were too:

Felt Crab hats (from Sea Shell City)
Coloring books from the local dollar store (pirate themed)
Ocean-themed Stampers (from Oriental Trading)
Sea life-themed stencils and crayons (also from Oriental Trading)
Glow necklaces (also from Oriental Trading)

The kids had a great time with it, the parents were able to enjoy themselves and not constantly pay attention to the kids, and even some of our big kids enjoyed themselves with the extras...

I think an activity book would be a great idea for a child's favor
