Where did everyone take classes? Was it at your hospital or a private organization? My MW has 4, 2 hour sessions. So far, we've went over the stages of labor and had a tour of the water birth room, which is what she specializes in. I'm wondering if this class will prepare me enough, since I'm planning a natural birth. I will ask her, and see how the next 2 classes go, but just want to see what other have done.

Re: Childbirth Education classes
I am taking the Bradley Method classes with Celeste Rachell in Roslyn and I absolutely love it. She really preps you for an all natural childbirth.

Re: Childbirth Education classes
Nina, I just started mine this week. It is also 4 classes plus a tour of the hospital. Each class is 1.5 hours. It is taught by a nurse from the hospital where I am delivering, but takes place in my Dr.'s office in the waiting room.
I've had one class so far and we went over the stages of labor and reviewed the 'signs' of labor. We got a ton of free stuff. The next classes I think get more specific about breathing exercises, pain management, etc. The very last class is a basic childcare class.
