Children at wedding

We're having kids at the wedding and have been given a discount for kids ages 10 and below. Do caterers expect you to pay for kids ages 5 and below?

Good question. My nephew (ring bearer) will be 2 at the time of my wedding - I want to ask my hall operator if I have to pay 1/2 price (a little more actually) for a child who will eat the equivalent of a roll!

My first 5 kids under 5 are free (they get chicken fingers - we will only have one, FH's niece) and then 6-12 are at 30% (full meals). Look in your contract, that was specified in mine.

Different places have different policies. We were told that if the child is going to be serverd there is a charge, 1/3 in our case. I think this is reasonable. If they are Only porviding a seat weather its a high chair or regular seating there is no charge. I plan to use 5 as my cut off age in the headcount.

At ours, all kids under 5 are free, they are served chicken fingers and fries, or spaghetti, etc. Kids 6-12 are at 30% of the full price and are served the same meal as adults.
