China Registry Question

How many place settings did you register for if you registered for China? FH and I finally registered for our China last night . I picked something out that I never thought I would like! Anyhow we registered for 12 place settings. I know I probably won't get all 12 which is fine, but do you think that is too many to register for? The lady was trying to get me to do more!

I registered for 12 and it seemed like a lot to me too... but I'm a spaz and will probably break half of them, so I guess it's better to have some extra.

I wanted the kate spade one I saw the other day but when I saw it in the store I didn't like it. I ended up liking this other pattern that was cheaper than the kate spade... (so maybe I will actually get all 12 settings!) I wanted to get something really fancy and I ended up not liking any of them. I guess I dont have fancy taste lol. This is the one we registered for. I am still looking online to see if I like anything better but so far I like ours the best. We ended up registering for accent plates and the bigger coffee mugs as well... We also registered for our flatware and serving sets etc.

I have a huge family so I was thinking that if I did have them over for a holiday I would need at least 12.. maybe more...but then I didn't know if 12 was the standard or not.

Yeah same here.. I figure I will buy the extras later..besides we have a condo right now so I am sure we won't be entertaining a large crowd until we have a house... probably 5 years from now!

Re: China Registry Question

We originally had 12, but knocked it down to 8...no one is going to buy us the china anyways so it doesn't matter LOL.

If we have the clan over all at one clip, we'd use the Countryside Italian over the china anyways...and save the china for more intimate dinners IF we get it at all. Because if we don't get it for the shower, we're definitely not getting it ourselves.

We registered for 12. While you might not get them all, you get buy them afterwards with your discount (and gift cards). Your china pattern might get discontinues in the future, so better off getting your full set now.

Fine china and electronics are not included in the 10% discount completion program at Macy's, but may be included in other stores.

Re: China Registry Question

We originally had 16 (FH is one of 6 kids!) but I knocked it down to 12. If we have his entire crazy family over with two young children I'd be too afraid to bring out my beautiful china anyway!

Plus I am a spaz and I'll probably break a few!
