chinese food that doesn't smell like chinese food?

any suggestions? i can't stand the way chinese food smells.. i've been told it's the peanut oil, or the msg.. who knows.. but i get nauseus the second i walk into a chinese food restaurant.

but i love LOVE chinese food.. anyone know where I can get some reall good fresh orderless chinese food?

Hmmmmm...I don't know about chinese, but what about thai food? That's a really good substitute for chinese food for me..

I love the way chinese food smells! But...only whne I'm hungry. Afterwards...it smells awful!

come to my apartment - i live on top of a chinese couple and they always cook and it never smells like the food you get anywhere.

she had given us some beans one time to try - very odd. Honestly the only way you will get something that doesn't 'smell' is if its just noodles and some simple broth and stewed meat which is very tradition and typically not served anywhere but a noodle house which they only have in the city.
