Chocolate...

I'm looking for some really really good chocolate truffles to put into favor boxes. I don't want Godiva or Lindt- Any other suggestions?

I was kidding. You probably could get good chocolate in the City. There a few good 'chocolatier' who makes wonderful chocolate.

You can try Neuhaus (they are the Saks Fifth Ave. house chocolate vendor) or La Maison du Chocolat which is near Rockefeller Center. Both are great and you really do pay for the quality. :D

Their chocolate needs to be eaten within 1 or 2 weeks 'cus they don't add preservatives which makes 'em taste better.

That's also because sometimes they use cream so they have to be eaten fast.

There's a store called the chocolate duck in the town of farmingdale that has a ton of homemade chocolate. I remember my parents used them for favors for my graduation party. You should check them out!

5th Ave. chocalatier in Manhattan.... The owner is a close friend of my family and he makes the best truffles!!!

i must agree with you on La Maison du Chocolat. it's pure luxury with every bite! along with Maison, there's VOSGES. Vosges i would say is more couture. very chic looking chocolates. great taste also. the flavors' very eclectic. MARIE BELLE is also great. very euro, classic and couture. there's so many out there but eeeeek! i have to go. i am a big chocolate fan! i would love to recieve this as a gift! good choice, girl!
