Chocolate fountains

Chocolate fountains

I have been hearing different pricing on chocolate fountains from you ladies and I have one question

if you want a chocolate fountain, can you say you want it just for a certain number of your guests, or will they make you pay for every guest, regardless of how many will actually indulge.

I know they recommend with wedding cakes to ask the baker for a size that feeds a lesser number of guests (like half slices) and I was wondering if that could be done for the fountain as well.

I dont think my catering hall does it like that..east wind gave us a price for the fountain PLUS another 2 or 3 $ per person

there is the east wind thread on 05 brides and they give you exact prices

however other halls may do it differently

I'm pretty sure you'll have to pay for everyone, because they ahve no way of knowing or controlling who goes up for it and who doesn't..

But that's the thing...it shouldn't make a difference. If I ask for and pay enough for say 60 people, then they only have to supply enough for 60 people....whoever wants it can eat it...when it runs out, it's done.

the other way, there seems to be so much waste...of money AND of chocolate!!

My reception hall doesn't have one so I have to rent it on my own, may-be you could look in to renting it your self. I think they come in 3 different sizes.
