I have some extra money since i got a great deal on my vendors. I came across chocolate invitations. Really contemplating this but i'm a little nervous about breakage in the mail. Anyone ever have experience with this??
I think that these are really cute and totally unique. I would just wonder about where response cards go, information, etc. Also, with your wedding in Sept, they would be mailed out over the summer and along with maybe breaking, I would worry about melting.

It's a cute idea. But maybe more practical would be a chocolate menu at the reception. And invitation can melt or get broken. Or people with a sweet tooth could eat them and lose the info :)
A chocolate menu could be used as a favor as well

That's so cool, but I would be afraid something would happen to it.

I went to a wedding where the favors were chocolate boxes with truffles inside. The couple's names were carved into the box, which you could eat too. It was pretty awesome.

Re: Chocolate Invitation....
melting and getting the actual paper invite dirty would be my biggest concern but it is really cute. After eating the chocolate you don't want a dirty looking invite with finger marks etc.
I'd love to get a chocolate invite if I was a guest! Very unique. But maybe not if I got the invite over the summer.

Really love the idea, but have the same concerns as the rest of the ladies.

Re: Chocolate Invitation....
Well, congrats on having extra money! But I agree with everyone - if they run the risk of breaking or melting, then consider it money not well spent. Put the extra into a dress you absolutely love, or your honeymoon or something for just the two of you - and really, that's so great you ended up with extra, I hope we do too lol!!

Very cute idea but I once received a cookie in the mail and it was all smashed up even in the bubble wrap....I would think that could happen to this.

I like the chocolate menus and favors. That would be a nice touch.

Re: Chocolate Invitation....
Afresh Approach (vendor on here) does chocolate menus, but you need to order them a few months in advance because the design process itself takes about 3 weeks. Def. look into it!
