Chocolates for favors

Besides Lindt, what else is out there for individually wrapped chocolates that I can put in favor bags? The price for Lindt is 45 pcs for $10, I am looking for something comparable to that. Thanks!

Nina-
I remember going to a place called The Chocolate Duck in Farmingdale. They had a wide variety of truffles, and I'm pretty sure they were reasonably priced (though I don't remember exact amounts).

I just noticed that they are a vendor on this board! Duh! Maybe they have prices online...I went to the store itself and saw their selection. There's a lot!!

I WENT TO THE LINDT STORE AT THE OUTLETS IN RIVERHEAD. THE LADY SAID THAT THEY USUALLY HAVE THE TRUFFLES THERE LOOSE. YOU FILL UP A BAG YOURSELF 80 TO 85 FIT IN THE BAG FOR $10.00. I'M GOING TO STOP BACK WHEN THEY GET MORE IN.

WHen did you speak to the Lindt lady in Riverhead? I am looking to do something similar and have been calling so many places for loose candy.

Re: Chocolates for favors

I ended up buying boxes of individually wrapped Ferrero Rocher chocolates at BJs. They were .20 each (30 in a box for $6). As soon as I saw them i BJs I bought 8 boxes. Then, I posted the other day, and everyone said that it was a good choice, they are very good chocolates. I have very little time left, and I live in Queens, so I don't have time to go out to Riverhead. I would have gone to Lindt in NYC or Roosevelt Field, but the bags I know about sell individual chocolates in red, blue and gold wrap, which don't really like. Thanks for your help!

I called the lady at Lindt on Tuesday. She said that they would be getting more truffles in in about 2 weeks. I plan to keep calling to find out when they come in and then run out and buy them.
