Re: choosing a dj
a good thing to try and do is catch a showcase where a couple of DJs are performing. We were able to see 3 DJs perform at the showcase at the Riviera a few years ago and I knew right away that was set on having LI Sound. I just thought they did such a great job, they have a nice white system you can upgrade to (which we did), and there prices were in our range.
On top of that, check out reviews from past LIW brides that used them and see what they have to say. That's why I was confident about booking our DJ because I did not hear anything bad about them and everyone seemed very satisfied with their work.

yea, a showcase sounds like a good idea, but we live in philly and it seems like they're always during the week, which is kind of a hassle for us ugh living away suxx

well not as good - but some of these DJs have performances on video on their websites. Maybe start there?

We watched some you tube videos of the dj's we liked in action at real weddings, and picked one from there. Price was also a factor

Re: choosing a dj
pick someone you like when you meet with them and of course if within your budget. it will feel right when you meet that person. overall, they should meet most of your requirements!
