Choosing Bridesmaids

Hi girls -how long before wedding date did/do you pick your BMs?

Right after I was engaged! Lol. So that's 2 years before my wedding date. But for the most part I don't have too much family so it's my closest friends.

I've pretty much known for awhile (before I got engaged) who I would want for my bridesmaids. I'm getting married next October, and I plan on asking them in the next few weeks...

I probably knew before we got engaged. Definately knew when we got engaged 4 years ago... And just asked them officially last month when we started formally planning.

i asked at the engagement party, exactly a year and a half before the wedding date.

I knew I was going to have a small wedding party, My sister and my future SIL. So, I asked them after I got engaged. YAY!

it was obvious who my best friends are

I knew before I got engaged. My sisters always knew they would be the bridesmaids. We said we cant pick one over the other for the moh. i asked my maid of honor, the next day that i saw her

My friends pretty much knew as well. I think the only one I might have caught off guard was my cousin... we asked them at our engagement party

I had already chosen them before we got engaged! Most of them knew beforehand too.

I had toyed with the idea of having a few from school too... but I didn't want a big bridal party, so i stuck w/ family and good friends from High School :)
