Choosing colors-HELP!!

Ladies,
I just need to vent for a quick second.

I booked the date and RH with no problem. Then onto the photog- BOOKED! I have appts with 3 DJs in a couple of weeks when I am on LI (OOT Bride). I am usually a good decision maker and do a lot of events for work but most of the time colors are dictated by corporate logo.

But I am stuck on so many other things because I cannot decide on a color scheme! Nothing is really jumping out at me! I can't lpick invites, BM dresses, florals, etc!!!

I am also an OOT bride.

Why don't you check out the thread where people posted collages of their color schemes? that might help you!

what about sage green/pink/peach?

there are really so many ideas though! I picked our colors by choosing my BM dresses and then deciding what flowers looked best with them. I also wanted something very bright and summery. Do you have a favorite color?

I thought I had it! I was ready to go with BM dresses that were like a vibrant fucshia but then the swatch came and it looked more like hubba bubba bubble gum and FH thought my BMS would look like flamingos.

I definitely think there will be some sort of olive-y / mossy green in there.

The colages are a great idea, I loved that post. Maybe I will put one together of all of the pics I have saved and see what has been jumping out to me the most.

I would do a shimmer color. maybe a darker blue with shimmer or red w/shimmer. It is formal and the shimmer would give it a lighter feel. I think once you pick a color fabric will make it more formal. I like brown/pink, hot pink/orange-- darker colors more burnt, yellow and green- more pastel. hope that helps a little

Re: Choosing colors-HELP!!

some things to take into considerations when picking a color... (this is what I tell my customers when they just CAN'T figure out a BM color)

1. What colors look good on you? - Think about it, your girls are basically accent pieces which are around you to make yourself stand out- this may seem shallow, but look at some pictures and you might get what I mean. For example, Red heads always look great with a complimentary color of green or sage, so their BM's would be great in those shades.

2. What color are your eyes? - Blue eyes, blue dresses, another thing to make your features POP!

3. Where are you taking your photos? - Green grass, Green Dresses?!? OH MY!!! ON the beach, champagne dresses- your girls will blend into the sand!

4. What is the decor of your RH? - Try to pull out the color from the carpet, or the trimming around the windows, any accent piece that catches your eye

5. AND- what I feel is most important- what color are you wearing? If you are in IVORY, or even sometimes Diamond White, putting your girls in light colors may cause you to blend in photographs with certain lighting.

I HOPE THIS HELPS!!! If you have any questions/concerns feel free to FM me!

Join the club!! My favorite color is pick and you think it would be very easy for me to decide. But, I am confused about what color to use.

I think since you are a spring wedding you should do pastels, maybe pale pink and sage green. I really love that combo or even powder blue and chocolate brown. Great combo too! What I did was plan my colors around the season. So we are doing a metallic dark silver and crimson calla lilies. Go with what you love. It will pop out at you!
