choreographed dance for your wedding...

who's doing one?

WE ARE! maybe not a funny one..but FH wants to do a tango! i think its WAY better than just swaying back and forth

i would love to go for dance lessons before the wedding b/c i hate slow dancing but i dont think it will be in our budget

ETA: i doubt i would ever get FH to agree to this anyway

wasn't for us---its cute for others--but DH has two left feet. we did a few dance lessons but ended up scraping it cause he was getting too frustrated at it.

we wound up doing the ever so popular 'Newlywed sway' lol

if anything i wanna do a slow dance and then after we break out into a fast upbeat song that we choreograph together or something. For the slow dance i want to really be in the moment and just focus on him, then after we'll pull out our moves

both FH and I have two left feet, so we'll just be swaying back and forth. besides, the song we're dancing too for our first dance - somebody by depeche mode - really doesn't allow for anymore than that. i also want the dance to be about us and what the words mean to us, having a choreorgraphed dance would take away from that i think.

we used John from Ballroom dance LI and we had a blast! John made learning our dance so easy and it was so much fun to do at the reception. Our guests loved it and it looks great on the video! The funniest part was DH trying to avoid stepping on my dress...it was a lot different dancing in the gown than at home in shorts and a t-shirt.

We did it! We used Erin Bomboy of Start Dancing. She was awesome and everyone loved the dance. It wasn't cheesy at all. Very nice.

We're not sure yet. I'm not a huge fan of how coreographer dances look...but I won a free dance lesson at a bridal show...so we'll see. Fh is not a great dancer....so I'm not sure.

I love that song. Unfortunately, it reminds me of an ex-boyfriedn, so it's a no can do for our first dance, but it is so beautiful.

We did a rumba - it was a hit!!!

Of course, when it came time to watch us dance to OTHER songs, it became painfully obvious that neither of us are dancers...

Fh and I are currently going for dance lessons at the Dance Loft in Long Beach.

The instructor Laura is sooo great I love going each week and it's not the chore that I thought it would be.

It's running us $65 per lesson but we're catching on quick in the three lessons we've had.

Imo it's well worth it - we decided that we don't want to look like goobers out for our first dance.

Same here. Although we didn't perform as well on the dance floor as we did in the lessons, they went a long way in calming us down and helping us at least appear somewhat coordinated.
