the Band Fuel wants him...guess AI did him a favor!!

Honestly he's better off not winning... what credible rock/alternative singer would be the American Idol?

He'll probably sell more records than all of the winners.

On one of the celeb blogs I read, it said this. I wonder if it is true

America Didn't vote Chris Daughtry off

I was listening to a local radio station on Long Island.
A woman who works for FOX was on the show, wouldn't say her name on the air but they confirmed that she was who she said she is told us that America didn't actually vote Chris off.
His band was just recently signed to a label. She said that was a breach of contract with Idol. So they gave him the boot.
She also said that's what happened to Constantine Maroulis last year.
Chris wasn't told ahead of time, no one was. He was told after the show with everyone else.

i agree 110%! I always said that Chris was awesome but it would be better if he got kicked off. Honestly, it would more hurt his career than help if he had the title of 'American Idol'! It's better his talent get noticed and move on with a 'real' career. Congrats to him!

the only problem with that whole thing is that when he signed up with AI -- he signed a mandatory contract of 1 year. even though he was booted off--he is contractually stuck with AI and will have to do the Idols Live Tour and stuff until the year is up! AI really owns those people when they first sign up. Unless Fuel buys out his contract with them---Chris is stuck with AI!!!

Chris is def going to sell more albums and become a more successful artist. I cannot picture any of the final 3 having a long successful career.

One band has already expressed interest in giving the singer a job.

The members of Fuel appeared on Extra Thursday and gave Daughtry a shout-out.

'Chris, if you’re watching,' guitarist Carl Bell said, 'we've talked about this before, if you wanna entertain it again, we'll entertain it again and go!'

The band offered Daughtry an added incentive.

'Chris, you won't have to do any Elvis songs if you come to Fuel, bro--they're no more!' Bell said. 'You won’t have to do that.'

No word on whether Daughtry plans to accept the band's offer. For now, he will spend the summer perfoming with the other top 10 Idol finalists on the American Idols Live 2006 tour, which kicks off July 6.
