I usually send Xmas cards to whomever I want regardless of their faith. Almost everyone I send them to is Christian, so thus far I've been ok
My FH family is Jewish - from Conservative to Reform. What should I do regards cards at the Holiday - Happy Hannakuh (sp.?)???
I'm really lost on this one

I would also do Happy Holidays -- that's good for everyone and totally non-offensive.

Re: Christmas cards for Jewish people
Ive sent Christmas cards to jewish people but my christmas cards are all about santa or reindeer or a snowy tree or something so I know my Jewish friends are offended. And I always write something fitting inside the card.
But if you buy those cards that have the Nativity or a quote from the bible or anything like that - I wouldn't send that to anyone who isnt Christian including Jews, Atheists, Agnostics, etc..

I always do Happy Holidays. Last year I had got y cards from Hallmark.com with a snowman in the front of the card holding the american flag.

I also get a variety of cards and send the more Christian ones w/ quotes to people like DHs parents who are very religious. I send ones with snowflakes, snowmen and reindeers, etc. to non-Christian people.

Definitely go for something generic - Warm Wishes for a Happy Holiday Season!

Re: Christmas cards for Jewish people
I have three sets this year. Merry Christmas for my family and Christian friends; Season's Greetings for FI's extended family and our non Christian friends; and Happy Hannukah for FI's immediate family (parents siblings nieces nephews).
I think everyone else's idea of Happy Holidays is much easier though LOL!

You should check out the website Interfaith Wedding Mall They have lots of interfaith holiday cards to choose from.

Re: Christmas cards for Jewish people
I am Jewish and I usually receive either hanukkah cards or just plain holiday cards like sonicstef said. It is actually the thought that counts and I don't care what is on it. But if you don't want to offend your fh's family be on the safe side and send either of the hanukkah (it has many different spellings) or the plain holiday ones. With snowmen or something on it. Or you can have a happy new year card.

I also do a neutral Happy Holidays card for everyone. That is pretty safe and doesn't offend anyone.

Re: Christmas cards for Jewish people
no such thing as 'Christmas ' cards for Jewish people. Best to send Chanukah cards to them- it falls on nov 28th- the day after Thanksgiving this year!
If you miss this oppty, then send a general 'happy Holidays- Happy New Year's card.
