Ok girls, its the beginning of november and there isnt much time left before the holiday rush hits!!! I know a bunch of us wanted to get together around xmas and have a bit of a holiday thing, maybe exchange ornaments, secret santa, things like that... So, I am thinking December 14th. Its a sunday, not too close to christmas time but not too far ahead...How does that sound? Anyone have any idea of a place we can have it at? We could always do the good old Dave and Busters or we could find somewhere else to go!! I OR we could do an evening thing, maybe December 13th? Go out for drinks and just hang out, relax before all the craziness really hits hard!! Opinions??!!
ETA: Ok seems decmeber 14th wins!! Any idea for places? (Lets not forget our people ALL the way out on the east end of LI when we decide lol!!)
**UPDATED**: Ok girls, decision is made lol December 14th Sunday Grand Luxe Cafe Time to be announced when it gets closer **If you would like to do dirty santa, bring a $15 gift with you (can be anything from food to naughty things, use your imagination ) Who ever brings a gift will particiapte in the game!!
Love you all lots, I will post an official attendance list more towards the beginning of December that way everyone has plenty of time to plan!!

we could play 'dirty santa' where everyone brings a gift (it could be a limit of $10-20 whatever we decide), puts it in the middle of the table... then we all pick numbers out of a hat and whoever has #1 goes first, picks a gift from the pile... the next person goes and can decide whether or not they want to steal that persons gift or choose another one from the pile.. and so forth.. you can steal gifts up to 3 times before its considered 'dead'. Its a lot of fun, i played this with my old co workers all the time for our holiday parties!
Either of those dates sound fine w/ me, we just gotta pick a place!
i TOTALLYYY WANT TO PLAY THIS LOL... dec 13 is a no go though its the Westbury Manor girls g2g.... unless u wanna combine it?> lol
Same thing about the WM G2G I could go if it is someplace I dont have to drive on the parkway for since i don't do that

Christine thats aswome idea!!! well the place im having my e party is like that....
buttttttttttt its $400 to rent the hall.... and they do a beer wine n soda tab.... depending on how many of us.... it can be cheap to do it there.....
if its 40 of us we only pay $10

the beer wine n soda is also reasonalbly priced... and the hall is big enough for 100 people and they have a bar tender there for us.. it also has a kitchen we can use

Getting 40 of us together might be tough, but if we can that might work. Does anyone know of any other places like this?

this sounds like alot of fun!! Potluck would be really easy to do plus if we did dirty santa we could get a bit more 'rowdy' than if we were in a place...

The 14th is most likely out for me. (I work Sundays... this Sunday is my last Sunday off), but depending... I might be able to leave work early, but I won't know until the week before... so put me in as a no.
