Christmas gift idea?

Christmas gift idea?

Have any ideas? I'm looking for something for FH's cousin and her family. She is 15 and has cancer, which may be terminal. She has the best spirits and her family is very spiritual (mom was a flower child). We'd like to get them something to hang on the wall...something inspirational, like a poem or something. Any ideas?

the serenity prayer....it was on my cousins' mass card when she passed away, but it's such a wonderful prayer

what about buying her or making her a wonderful journal (for the 15 year old) or memory box

See, I don't want to single just his cousin out, saying 'you are sick and probably won't survive'. I am looking more towards a family gift. Can you copy and paste the serenity prayer? Would that be a good gift for a girl who doesn't believe in God?

Personally, I'm not sure a 15 year old would appreciate an inspirational poem. Seems a bit morbid to me, even if uplifting its a reminder of their problems. Is there something more fun that you could get her that she would be able to enjoy in the hospital? What about some sort of handheld video game or CD walkman? Or some books?

i would focus on doing something that she has always always wanted to do or have, so that way instead of focusing on the sadness of it all she will have this incredible experience or memory

I agree with you guys, but I don't want to focus it on her or her sickness at all. I'd like to get a gift for the whole family.

What if you got them tickets to see the adio City Music Show Christmas spectacular. That would probably be uplifting for the whole family.

That's a nice idea. I have to see how she's feeling because she hasn't been doing to well. Thanks!
