Christmas gifts for coworkers

Christmas gifts for coworkers

Anyone else find this as irritating as I do?

It is such a problem... who to get gifts for, who gets what....

Then someone gets you one and you weren't expecting it, so you have nothing for them.

There are WAY too many people, I can't stand it!

i feel the same way. i think the best thing to do is buy a tray of sandwhiches or even make something for the office. i do that and give to my direct supervisors and a close friend and thats it.

I only got something for my officemate. I got him a giant apple covered with chocolate, caramel, and pecans. It looks soooo good

Thats a really good idea.
I work with all women, so that might not go over too well.

I am so aggravated by trying to find
a)something they will like
b)that is not too expensive -Im on a budget
c) but wont look cheap

And they all make more $$ than me (Im the new girl) so I dont want to get them something cheaper than what they get me.

Last year I got a little something for everyone based on their personality. This year i just got for two secretaries. One I gave her a baking sheet and an angel ornament with a cardinal. the other I gave a box of chocolate covered cherries and a Mary Engelbreit tea set.

If you do not have to get I wouldnt. Save your money and just get a tray of cookies for the office

I would just give some chocolates and maybe a desk calendar or something. Keep it really simple this way if you're there for a couple more years you don't have to worry about what gift to get each year.

I agree with chocolates. I usually head over to Godiva and buy really small boxes under $10. I will buy and extra box or two in case someone 'suprise gifts' me. The worst case scenario is there is extra chocolate for me!!

We have Secret Santa every year b/c I work in a very big department. I do buy gifts for the two people who report to me though.

I buy lotto scatchoffs for a few people that I know will give me a little something and then keep a few handy for any surprise gifts. Most people like those. I know the whole gift giving at work is irritating.
