Christmas Photo Cards??

How many of you are doing this? FH wanted to do this last year and we did... but I thought it a bit odd sicne we werent engaged...

He wants to do it again this year... but I am still hesitant lol...He even wanted to do a newsletter!!!!

His family is SOOO old fashioned (I used to call him mr1950s) and so I dont want them to think its strange...

So my question is...

How many of you are doing the Photo Card? Newsletter?

we aren't doing a photocard but i want to send out a new home announcement/Christmas card this year...we never did christmas cards before but i figure now is a good time to start since we will be living together (of course this all depends on when we actually move in)

photo cards are cute though...i love getting Christmas cards in the mail so I better get one!!

ok don't hate me! but i'm not a fan of the photo xmas cards.

i think it's only because me and my family have always ripped those cards open so fast to make fun of people... mean! i know, we're terrible people, lol.

but then i saw an episode of gilmore girls where they did the same thing, so i know we're not alone!!

I want to do a photo card but he doesn't so we are doing a non photo card. I did get him to agree to photo save the date magnets though! That was a break through.

The newsletter idea is cute, this is something that we may do after we have kids. As a couple there's not too too much to report, besides wedding stuff.

I made them for us this year, they came out cute. If they land in the garbage I hope it's after xmas at least.

haha, I know!!

I really think it depends on what your family did. Our family only did photos when we were very young (under 10). But if you come from a family that always did photo cards, then I think you're more likely to do it yourself!

Yeah he comes from a family who sends them... you should see the mantle at christmas... he has over 500 family members who are cousins, etc... so its like, a mosaic of pictures of people we dont know!

Re: Christmas Photo Cards??

I always take my daughter to get x-mas pics so i send out her pic in the xmas cards....last year we did a family portrait and i sent the pics of all 3 of us...

but if it were just me and him, i dont think i would send a pic of just me and him out, and if i did, just to my close family.

We made the ones that look like stick figures - its me, FH and my 16yr old dog Tuxedo. I'll post the proof when it comes

We do the same thing...it def depends on your family...my family makes fun of them so much that FH and I are actually making just one newsletter. My mom isn't an animal lover and she makes fun of how in love i am with our dog, that the whole newsletter is going to be about our year. We havent made one yet but it will be something like..

In February we moved in together blah blah blah then in April came our bundle of joy Xander...she will puke.
