any suggestions. What should I have to top off my dinner?

What about Christmas cookies?? Or were you looking for a pie or something like that?

Ohh ohh we are having the families over for a dessert party! Here is what's on my menu...

A Friendly's holiday ice cream roll
Chocolate chip cookies
brownies
Christmas sugar cookies
mini eclairs
Ice cream--mint chocolate chip and vanilla with whipped cream and chocolate sauce

We are only having 10 people so I think that's it for me!

banana's foster is something that is really easy to make, the only downside is that it is something that you can't make ahead of time.
However, it only takes a few minutes to make and doesn't cause a lot of mess.

thats not a bad idea. When should I get the ice cream ? I live near a Carvels and a Baskin Robbins I would get that. When do you suggest I should get the cakes?

I got the Friendly's cake at Stop and Shop yesterday, and am keeping it in the freezer til xmas. Stop and Shop also had the Carvel snowman cakes. I am partial to the Carvel one, but the Friendly's one was on sale for $4.99 so we went with that.

I agree with the ice cream cake, everyone likes it and its really simple

I know that in a pinch, my MIL has bought the frozen Marie Callenders or Mrs. Smiths frozen pies - heat them up in the oven and they are simply delicious
