Yeppers. I've read most of his novels, but I'm not sure if I'll read his short story collection.

I think he asked for it for Christmas and I got him 'How to Please Your Woman' instead.
Just kidding!
I'll ask him tonight.

I'm pretty sure the word 'squick' was made just for describing Palahniuk's stuff - all his stuff squicks me, but I guess that's why I read it.
As far as I know Guts is not part of his recent collection. I haven't read it, but I remember hearing about him debuting a new story at readings and how it was causing people to faint and puke. (not in that order, though)
Was it really bad?

Liz - how many COPIES of his books do you have? Isn't that the true gauge of an author's squickiness?

only 1 of each!!
Twobugs... oh it was bad Let's put it this way, it involved a boy, some 'alone time', a pool pump and his intestines. It was really good, but it made me throw up a little in my mouth!

Um, yeah, I just found it online. I'm so incredibly squicked. But the writing was great!

Throwing up in mouth = acid reflux

I just hope the other stories in the collection are a little more intestines-friendly. Bleck!!
