We are going to church next week to have our first meeting with a priest. Should I bring money for the depoist? Do you usually pay at that first meeting? We know the day is open.

hmm, not exactly sure how it works with each individual church. for mine, when we booked the church initially, i had to give a small deposit to them to hold the date. i gave that to the administrative person though, not the minister. i would call though or like you said, just bring your checkbook so you're good either way

I didn't pay anything so far. The priest will probably ask you some questions together and then interview you separately. It is nothing to worry about- basic questions like why do you want to get married. Our priest gave us a folder of info regarding church music and rule re: photography
