Church

My FH and I are getting married at CLM this time next year. We had originally just said we would get married there since he is from MI and the only church I ever belonged to is in Staten Island. Of course, me being a female, I am now thinking maybe I should be married in a church.

So my question is, are there any brides getting married in a church that they are not a member too and if yes, was it way more expensive than just hiring a minister and getting married at the RH?

And if anybody knows of church's near CLM that be great too. =)

THANKSSSS!

Re: Church

I almost went to a church that I did not belong to for other reasons. I had called and made the appointment etc. I ended up just going with my church in the end. From what I believe it is the same price no matter what, but you will have to get 'approved' by some senior priest or something like that. Call the church you're thinking about and ask questions. Some are way more lenient than others.

Re: Church

I am from Queens but I am getting married in Long Island in Lindenhurst. I would like to keep the church and RH kind of cloe to one another. Like I was told to check out Notre Dame in New Hyde Park, but after looking at their website they seem very very strict. We would need to interview and take classes. Crazy.

Re: Church

Our Lady of Perpetual Help does not allow non-parish members to marry there. Hoping all works out with St. Rose of Lima! if not, I dont know where to turn.
