This is for girls getting married at a church - what time is your ceremony and what time does cocktail hour start? How long are you planning on taking pictures after the ceremony? Are you going to the venue in time for cocktail hour? I didn't pick a venue yet but just wondering how you worked out your timing for pictures and such.

Church and Reception timing?
My ceremony is at 2:30 and the CH starts at 6:30 so I have a big gap in between. I figure after the ceremony and receiving line, we won't get out of the church until 4. This leaves us 2 hours for pictures at the venue. I'm taking all my pictures at the Bourne since it's going to most likely be freezing out and they have such great photo op spots.

Our ceremony is at 3 & it is a full mass. Our cocktail hour begins at 7. I told my photographer I want to be at cocktail hour so he has until 6:59 to take pics & then I am done!

Our ceremony is 11am and we are having a full mass so that will be over at 1145 and our Cocktail Hour starts at 1. Our Reception starts at 2.
We have an hour to take pictures before our CH but FH and I are OK with missing some of the CH. We figured we would miss some or all and that is ok considering we will still get CH food brought to us
We have a very small BP so our photographer said we should be able to get our photos done quickly which means we will be able to pop into our CH.

This! Same exact timing. By the time church is over, I am guessing it will be past 4:30, pushing 5. Our church is then 30 minutes away from our RH. So figure that's about 5:30 pm. That gives us 1.5 hours for pictures (which are being taken at the RH on the grounds, which is easier for us). I also want to be in our cocktail hour so I think 1.5 hours for pictures is plenty. Our photographer was very happy to hear our timing because we will have to be pulled out of the reception minimally.

We are just doing the ceremony and it starts at 2:30 and we aren't doing the receiving at the church. I know this isn't proper etiquette but we will greet everyone at the RH. This may be selfish but I want more time for pictures. So I'm figuring we will be out of the church by 3:30. I want to take pictures at a local park for an hour and then head over to our venue, which is about a half hour away. So I'm figuring we will be at our venue around 5 and our CH starts at 6. I also wanted some time to take pictures at our venue.

we aren't seeing one another before the ceremony so we're making time after the chapel. We're getting married at 3:15 with a 45 minute ceremony. we will take pictures from 4-5:15 and then travel 45 mins to the hall. 6pm-7pm we will take pictures at the hall together and then 8pm is our cocktail hour and then 8-11pm is our reception. there is a lot of time in between but it works for us and a lot of our family is at least 40 mins from the hall and the church is 40 minutes away from The Riviera, so were hoping it will even out =)

Our ceremony starts at 3pm, it is only about half an hour. The cocktail hour then starts at 6, so it gives us plenty of time for pictures in between so that we can go to cocktail hour!

We are having a full mass starting at 4pm and cocktail hour starts at 6pm. We only have 60 guests, so we expect to be done with the receiving line and leave the church by 5.30pm max. Our venue is 10-15 minutes away from the church, depending on traffic. We are okay with missing the first 15 minutes of cocktail hour to take our venue pics. We will be doing a reveal before the church and will have 1.5-2 hours to do all our bridal party and portrait shots at a local park beforehand.

Our church is at 3 and our cocktail hour starts at 6. Our hall gave us a hospitality hour starting at 5, so our guests can come and drink/eat/hang out after the church and don't have to go home.
We're going to miss the cocktail hour, which I'm pretty bummed about becaue CH is my favorite part, but they PROMISED to save us food and set up our own stations in the bridal suite! We'll be taking pictures at Old Westbury Gardens right after the church for about an hour and a half.

My ceremony starts at 4 and my cocktail hour starts at 7. We aren't doing a recieving line, and our church and rh are about 15 minutes away from each other. We are going to stop in between to take pictures and we can get to the rh an hour early. I'm not worried about cocktail hour because I'm not going to it. We are having the same food brought to the bridal suite and I won't be able to eat it if I go to ch....everyone will be coming up to me.
