Church and the Marriage License
I am getting married in my home parish, but am having a priest from outside the parish marry us. My church has said that I need to give them the marriage license a week before the wedding (along with the required payment), but since the priest at that church is not marrying us, do I still turn it in to them, or do I keep it for the priest that marries us? Also, when do you have your witnesses sign it? At the ceremony?

Re: Church and the Marriage License
you should check with your church to be sure, but we're dropping off our license right after we get it. They need to type everything out on it. Then we sign it during the rehearsal, and he signs it after the ceremony. The he mails it off for us.

Re: Church and the Marriage License
I would speak with the Church and your priest. I would not take a chance on doing this incorrectly.Welcome New Vendors
