Hi girls...I desperately need your help. I am having a ceremony only and no mass and I am lost as to what to do and how to arrange it. I need a layout of some sort for a ceremony and what order it should be. Can you tell I dont go to church often!
I am doing a candle ceremony and not doing flowers to the blessed mother and no mass.
I need help thanks girls....also how do I make a program????
Any suggestions for music would be appreciated too...do I really need a singer?? I need the cheapest route possible. I am starting to panic.

Can you meet with someone at your church? I'm sure they can help you plan the order of your ceremony..

I did but they were very vague...they just gave me the number to the organist and I was just very confused after I spoke with her.

Thats so wierd, the church should let you know the order, not visa versa. Go to http://www.diybride.com/community/index.php They have all these templates for programs under downloads. HTH!

I agree. I'm not having a mass either, but my church gave me a whole booklet on info for the ceremony. It has the entire layout of how the ceremony is going to take place, and a bunch of readings for us to pick from. Have you met with a priest yet?

Read this website for an outline of a wedding ceremony.
Just omit the parts that you don't want for your ceremony. I'm really surprised the person you spoke to at the church didn't help more with this.

Did you receive the book 'Together for Life' at pre-cana? The ceremony is outlined in there, along with choices for readings.
As for music, your organist will go over your choices for the processinal and recessional with you, as well as any special requests for songs to be played while the guests are being seated. The only 'sung' song we had for our ceremony was the song played during the lighting of the unity candle.

Just ask your church, they gave me a sample program and it was easy bc all i had to do was pick the choices for readings and songs and thats it. The rest they do it in the order they do and thats it. But they gave me the sample so I can do my programs.

thanks...I did get the book but I think I am more confused on songs and the instruments. I guess I am gonna just use the organist...do u think that will sound ok with just the organist. I really dont want to spend that much money either.
