If you girls are getting married in a church (during lent), are you allowed to decorate it how you like?
I'm getting nervous because we're getting married during lent, and my mom thinks we won't be able to decorate.

during lent your not allowed to. thats what my church told me. alot of them don't allow it. I would call and ask.

Yeah even in Greek churches, getting married during lent or the Easter period is not permitted. I wanted to get married June 29, but its a holiday that day so I couldnt, also during the xmas period you cant.

Yes. That is the same thing my mom told me as well....the church usually will not let you decorate the alter and many churches also cover up the Crucifix's (sp?) hanging on the wall
