Just ordered my invitations. This may sound silly but, who does the church directions? I gather I do?

I wrote them out, but my invitation person put them in a nice font on nice card stock for me.

I don't have an invitation lady. Why does everyone have an invitation lady? I did the Complete Wedding Package at Ariana Studios that included my reception at Douglaston Manor. I get the photo, video, DJ, flowers, limo, tux, invites as part of the package. I don't think they will do the church directions for me though.
I am a graphic designer so I am doing my own ceremony programs etc. I can easily Google the directions and print them out nicely on business card paper with perferations I suppose. I guess you get what you pay for.

Question. If the invites were included with the package (75 invites, response, reception, envelope etc), should I have had to pay for the shipping and sales tax? We would up paying $55 for the shipping and tax on the invites. Invites included should pick up that cost or no? What do you all think?

I am doing them myself. I got reasonably priced very pretty and classy pocketfold invitations, but the accommodations/directions card won't fit nicely in the pocket so I will be printing them onto cardstock myself and slipping them in the envelope. I'm just doing this so that the papers match somewhat, otherwise I would just get direction cards from the RH and accommodation cards from the hotel.

if your a graphic designer then do them yourself... i would do my own invites if i had the necessary programs for that stuff...

I think my invitation lady ***** now!
I went thru Ariana Studios to save money and did the complete wedding package that included Douglaston Manor. It was a good move because I wanted a nice wedding and we can't afford that much. I dropped Ariana's flower lady and photographer. Again, both good moves on my part. Amanda Picone is my photographer. I had to pay for her but I don't want to worry about my photos and I hear she is great and sooooo nice too. We met her. Love her.
However, when you go cheap you have to keep after them and be prepared for upgrades. So far, everything is working out but except for minor things like this stuff with the invitations. Small stuff. Oh well.
Maybe I should call and clarify?

When I finally decide on my invitations, I would assume whoever is doing my invitations would do those to.

you can have your invitation vendor do a custom direction card or usually the church provides inserts
