I recently got a letter from my church where the ceremony is stating that the pastor is resigning. I'm so bumbed because he was the reason why I wanted to have my ceremony in this church, besides it being a beautiful building.

Re: Church Disappointment
Do you think he might still be able to do your wedding, or is that completely unrealistic? If he's still a pastor and especially if he's still tied to the church somehow, maybe you can work something out with him. I'd at least look into it.

This is what I was thinking.
We are having a pastor that my FH has known for a long time marry us, he lives in Michigan but he is allowed to use the church because he used to preach at it, so maybe he could come back and do your wedding???

I am sure if you spoke with him, he may still be able to do your wedding. iv'e seen lots of priests that have moved on to other parishes come back and do weddings for parishoners that requested them. i would talk to him first. . . he might still be able available.

I agree. Just because he's not going to be pastor anymore, he'll still be a priest and he can still do it if you ask him.

Re: Church Disappointment
Thanx girls. I appreciate it. I understand the reason's it was done. I already paid my deposit at the church, so who ever the next minister is will be the one to marry us I guess. I still want to invite him and his wife to the reception.
