I wasn't going to until my Mom said that the only way the church gets flowers on the alter is weddings or funerals. Otherwise they have to pay for them out of the church's budget. I'm going to go to the florist the church uses and see what they can do for us.
Maybe you could check to see if there is a wedding before yours - they might be getting flowers for the church already?
best of luck!

Re: Church Flowers
I didn't....but the main reason was b/c the church had a ton of flowers still up from Xmas.
I only did 14 pew bows with flowers.

Re: Church Flowers
that's another thing i have to add to the list of questions to ask the priest. our wedding is 2 weeks after Easter so there is a chance the alter may still be decorated.

I'm not - it's a good way to cut costs. We are only doing pew bows at the church.

Re: Church Flowers
I'm not because my church is crazy - you can only put the arrangements on the floor. . . . no one will be able to see them - I am having pew bows with flowers and a small arrangement in memory of the family members that have passed away.

Re: Church Flowers
yeah, I think I may do without them. I had all intentions of getting them but now it will push me over my budget by $250 !! So Im thinking of not doing them
