Now for the Church I know it has becoem tradition to palce a bouquet at the Blessed Mother's feet. But now we were told that there are sign of the peace roses that we need to get. What is this? I have not seen this done.

A lot of times people present roses to the mothers as well. Could this be it?

As to the Blessed Mother flowers, the booklet we received from the church said this was optional, so we omitted it.
I think all of the extra things you can add to your ceremony are that - - additions and do them because they have meaning to you or leave them out if they don't. don't feel pressured to do things bec ause they are tradition. do them because they mean something to you.
DH and I felt the marriage vows were the most important for the day and we omitted all the other extras so the day focused on our vows.
And if the extra money spent is a factor, I would leave it out and not think twice about that decision.
