did you tip your organist? if so, how much?

My church told us what we had to pay them - $125, i took that as they're tip so I didn't give anything extra

organist is included, we hired a violinist which was another $200 i think. my church is charging way too much money to get married there - they are not getting any tips!

Organist and cantor are included in the price to get married there. So I wasn't planning on it.

no one at the church got tipped. i already had to pay them $1000 just to use them

I think part of what I paid was specifically a fee for the organist. I don't remember, I just wrote checks.

We had this disaster with the organist claiming he didn't know about the wedding and that he couldn't do it bc it was Father's Day (yeah I found this all out 2 days before) and that the usual backup guy wasn't available 'but don't worry, I'll find someone'...

Anyway the guy who did our wedding came in to a church he'd never been to before and he didn't know one of the songs we wanted but learned it that day. We tipped him $40

ETA: During the receiving line he came to get my attention, gestured to his pocket and said mouthed 'thank you', which I thought was really nice.
