We have changed our minds and decided that we would like to have our wedding ceremony in a church. We had planned on having our ceremony at the receprion hall, but feel like something will be missing if we do that. We were at a friends wedding and the ceremony was so short it was kind of like...'That was it?'
I now need help to find a Church. We just moved to Williston Park and don't attend anywhere regularly. He'll be getting ready in New Hyde Park, me in Williston Park and reception is in Massapequa on a Saturday Night. 12/04/04
He was raised Lutheran, I was raised Roman Catholic. Denomination of church is not overly important we'd like one of the two or a church that will be willing to marry us.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Church HELP!!!!!
We are getting married at 'Our Lady of Lourdes' in Massapequa -- it is off of Carmens Road --- It is a beautiful church and they have been very helpful. My fiance is catholic and I am lutheran and all i had to do was get permission from my church to be married there......

check out this link. this lists all the catholic parishes on the island. Your best bet would be to first call and see if you need to be a member of the parish, some require you to be. Ours don't, and is neither my own church, but I have family that belong to it. Being RC/Lutheran shouldn't matter either. I also hear that most Lutheran churches are very welcoming for weddings. Good luck
