Church Help!

Church Help!

Hello Ladies,

I am desperately seeking a church to have my ceremony at. My home church is too small to accommodate the number of guests I have (175). I can't seem to find a church that will allow us to use their chapel. My fiance's father is a retired minister and we would want him to officiate. It would also want it to be close to my reception hall - the Bourne in Oakdale. But I guess, beggars can't be choosers!

Any ideas? I need to find one fast so that I can order my invitations!

Thanks!
Anita

You can get married at St. Patricks if you're not catholic?

I don't know how many people it holds but it's in Jericho.

What about having the ceremony at the reception site or even at a different reception site?

I'm pretty sure you can't get married in a catholic church unless you or your fiance are catholic.

Hi,

I know this might not be close but have you considered the Parkway Community Church in Hicksville? They are open to having ceremonies for people who aren't congregants as well as having other Pastors officiate. Good luck!

I am also non denominational. Call some churches and tell them which church you go to and that your fiances father is a retired minister and you are a faithful churchgoer and just explain the situation. They should work with you. Sometimes non-denom. churches don't open up to outsiders because they don't want people who are not involved in church just renting their facility. Find a church that you like the look of it outside and just give a call. There is a new one in Holtsville area, it's Baptist and there is also Abundant Life or something like that in Holbrook.
