Church Lady is going to be the death of me!

I've already posted MANY times about my attempts to contact the music director at my church. After about 7 unanswered calls, I FINALLY got her on the phone and was able to schedule my rehearsal, but since she's going on vacation she had to make it the week before the wedding.

Well a few days later I found out that both the best man and the MOH can't make it that day, so obviously I wanted to reschedule... and have been forced into this lovely game of phone tag AGAIN (although not really a game, since I'm the only one playing.)

We're up to 3 unanswered calls so far... it's not like my wedding is a month away or anything!

ugh!! that's so annoying!!! i'm sorry! keep your cool and i'm sure she'll get back to you soon!! but i feel your pain!! and wish you luck with it!

I called the organist last week..still waiting..what is with these church people??

They are the absolute worst.

I have had alot of issues with my church so far and I am not happy about it. The receptionist there actually made me cry and I told our priest and heard through the grapevine she got in trouble. I just called this past week to ask her a question and she kept saying 'yes sweetie' 'of course honey' etc lol.

Haha I had issues with them too when I was trying to become a godparent, so they like being difficult with everyone, not just brides!

What is with these hard to get ahold of music people?? I have left 5 messages for the dude. The last thing any bride has time for is numerous fruitless phone calls!!!!!

And it’s really annoying bc she doesn’t work in the church office – so I have to call her house but ONLY between 9pm and 10pm. Her husband, her son and her answering machine all probably think I’m a giant stalker.

Me too!!! thats when she made me cry. I had called to get a letter sayign I was in good standing to be a godmother and the receptionst went off on me. She said according to their records that my parents havent donated anything in 6 years. I told her they moved 6 years ago and my FMIL donates everyweek and I just have her $750 toget married there. To which she replied something along the lines that if it were up to her I wouldnt be getting married there because Im not a good catholic bc I do not donate to my church. Meanwhile I dont even live in that town anymore. Insanity. Seriously. Im glad she got in trouble!!!!!!!

I would… but she doesn’t work in the office there. I only have her house number.

I think I’m going to give her until Thursday and then maybe rat her out to the church office – she’s on vacation the week of my wedding so I’m assuming they’d have to find a sub for her anyway.

i am so sorry you are going through this...just a word of advice..buy a cd with all weddng music on there

last yr a friend of mine got married and while we were in church waiting fr it to start a bm told us that the music pople werenot there(thery were from that church but stuck in traffic)

after waiting 20 minutes,they asked if anyone knew how to play piano,which noone did so everyone walked down the aisle to NO music

Thank you for giving me ANOTHER thing to worry about! Luckily FH’s brother is an awesome piano player.

I could totally see that happening though. My parents got married at the same church we’re getting married at, and when they got to the church it was locked!!! They FINALLY found someone to open it but it was 95* day so the church was about 8 billion degrees.

Ok I’m gonna go find some wood to knock on or something so none of these things happen. haha
