prelude - ode to joy & trumpets voluntary
processional - canon in D for bridal party and parents
me - wedding march (here comes the bride)
recessional - wedding chorus (typical dum dum da dum dum dum dum - you know what i mean)

i know here comes the bride has been a little contraversial in past years....but its a little girl dream thing.....i still dont know what the singer is doing during the ceremony

Re: Church music help

For a Ceremony, not Mass

Prelude - Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach)
Processional (BMs) - Canon in D
Processional (Me) - Bridal Chorus (Wagner)
Responsorial Psalm - Psalm 128: Blest Are Those
Hymn Following Exchange of Rings - I Have Loved You (Joncas)
Recessional: Wedding March (Mendelssohn)

The Here Comes The Bride is actually called the 'Bridal Chorus', by Wagner. I actually never wanted this but we went to the music day and my mom started crying over it and it really was beautiful, so I gave in. Pachabels Canon (Canon in D) is actually my all time favorite classical song ever, so I wanted me to walk to that, but my BMs will. It will be playing longer then anyhow.

Bridal Chorus - You Tube

'Wedding March' is the traditional they have just been married song, you here in all the movies.

Wedding March - bad version on You Tube

Check the names of your songs, because Wedding March (Mendelssohn) is not Here Comes the Bride. See my post above.
