Were getting married in St. Patrick's of Bay Shore on Friday we met with the priest and he informed us that the church doesn't allow Runners, or the flower girl to throw petals.... Has anyone ever heard of a church not allowing either of those?

Mine doesn't allow either... Also, I'm not allowed to have people throw petals after the ceremony outside the church which I'm really upset about but what can you do.

Most don't allow the FH to throw petals inside AND you can't throw petals outside either.

I'm a fellow St. Pat's bride and its for insurance purposes that most places won't allow either anymore.

Mine doesn;t allow this either b/c of the tile floors. They don't want to get sued if some1 falls.

Our church allows a runner, but no petals. The only thing they allow is birdseed.

my brother got married at St. Pat's. That info is correct about the runner. I cannot remember if my neice threw petals...I want to say no

My church is the same way. They don't supply the runners, you can have them,but they are not liable for anything. Also, no petals, which I am so disappointed about!

i'm gettign married at St. Josephs in Ronkonkoma and they do not allow a runner or the flower girl to drop flowers either. we are having the flower girl hand out flowers randomly on her way down the aisle instead.

I think it's a liability issue...they don't people tripping on the runner or slipping on the rose petals.

st. patricks in glen cove will allow flowers outside but a clean up fee, and i thought i saw in book he gave us no petals in the church, :( i would like flower girl to throw them but passing out fee seems good too
