So we finally booked our church and they are telling us we have to give a 'donation' of $650. Is this a normal price? My mom says it sound a bit high???

that sounds about right, when i was looking into churches, the one in my neighborhood was around 600

We are paying 550 and my friend who got married this past July paid 650! It's nuts!!

its a 'donation' if your willing to pay it...otherwise its mandatory or no ceremony.

That is normal....although you could tell them that you can't afford that price and they will work with you....if it is a donation save the receipt for your taxes and write it off!!!!

ours is 290 for 'dontaion' and 300 for 'music' so its basically the same as yours. out pre cana is $60

Ours is $780 because it is my church...if it wasnt it would be $1,030 and pre cana is $75. but I do love the church.

We have to pay a 'membership fee' of about $400, but they require us ot pay it for 2008 and 2009!
