Church problems

I have been engaged since June of 2004. The first thing I did was book the church. They put me in the book, and told me they would send me info (they did), and would call me when they had a new pastor. They had a pastor who was out on personal leave, so they were trying to find a replacement. This is a Lutheran church so there is no pre-cana. YOu do have to meet with the pastor a few times and talk about life (something like that).

I have not heard from them since, I booked them. Should I give them a call, or should I wait till they call. I am not sure what protocol the church does. Anyone know????????

I'd just call. Why stress yourself when they might have an easy answer?

i would call - just to check and put your fears to rest (or hopefully not - validate them).

i know in the RC church - a lot of stuff does not happen until about 6 months before your wedding. so - i am unfamiliar with the lutheran church - but i don't see the timeline being significantly different.

I would call but FH and I are getting married in a Catholic Church and before pre-cana we will spend about 4/5 hours sitting with the priest talking abt religin, marriage, kids, etc...
Then we do pre-cana early 06, there is not too much to do before that
