Church Problems?

Church Problems?

Hey Everyone -

Did anyone else have a hard time with their church? They are just taking their time in getting back to me and won't even tell me if the date is available! I went to school there (Pre-k through 8th) and made all my sacraments at this church. My grandma even works in the Rectory and is a Eucharist Minister. Plus, my mom is very active. It's not like I am not known within the community.

Isn't this crazy? I heard the church is like this though.

I would call again. Maybe there was a miscommunication somewhere or if you called over a week ago, maybe it had something to do with the pope being here. I had no problems with mine. The priest we wanted met with us the same week I called.

It took us a while to get a call back from the church but when we finally met with the priest he told us that they dont have a 2010 book yet so he put us in the back of the 2009 book. I dont think you should worry, Im sure the date is available but keep calling. Maybe you should ask your grandma if she can get someone in the rectory to look in the book for you

Our church didnt have a 2010 book either. We haven't had any problems with the church..not yet at least! We have an 11:30 ceremony and I really want to try and convince the priest to change it to 11AM so we have more time in between the ceremony and reception.

I'm SO hoping they'll be able to do it!

Ok well it sounds like most churches take their time!

I guess I have to give it some more time.

Thanks!
