Church Programs!

Church Programs!

Hello,
We are having a ceremony rather than a full mass at the church. I'd like to make our programs, but am feeling overwhelmed as to how we can lay things out. They gave us a book to choose from, but the numbers read A-1, so if I list that on the program, people won't know where to turn in their misalettes. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it. I also don't know when the songs will be sung during the ceremony, so should I just not list them in the program? Any suggestions/pictures of programs would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

Thanks!!

Personally, I think you are thinking about it a little bit too much, especially since it's not a full mass. I made DIY programs for our ceremony and I kept it *very* and I do mean very short and sweet, but I think that was the best part about them.

This is literally all there was to it.

At the top of the page, I listed the wedding party, including our parents and the priest.

The bottom half of the page listed the song that the bridal party would enter to as well as the song that I would enter to. Then under 'Liturgy of the Word' we had listed the readings and who would be reading them. I made a note of when the vows would be said/rings exchanged and then listed our recessional song. Easy peasy!

ETA: And the front, for good measure.

Re: Church Programs!

the A-1 reading is tied to a scripture passage. look in your book and see what a-1 means. maybe 1 corinthians??

you should put the biblical reference in the program

Re: Church Programs!

Was it the Together for Life book? I THINK those numbers A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 is just for organizing the sections and readings in that specific book. Example. all the Old Testamonts are As, New Testamonts are Bs etc.

If you want to reference the actual reading, you should put the scripture citation. Or if you have room, put the entire reading.

These are GREAT! Any chance you could show a closer pic of what's printed in the inside (kinda hard to read), or you could FM me? Thanks!!

Definitely put the scripture citation. I actually did a lot of research and put a lot of throught into choosing my readings, so if you tell me which reading it is, I can give you the scripture citation.
