Church Programs ??? Can u make them yourself ??

We are almost done with all our planning, but we havent decided on whether to have programs or not.

We are almost out of budget and are thinking we may skip the programs. Does it matter much ?? We're not sure.

Also, if we do decide to have them, has anyone made them themselves on the computer ? Maybe that is a way to have them, but get them a little cheaper. (I dont know what software to use, or if they come out kind of 'chessy' or if they are really a nice memento ?)

Thanks for any advice

I plan on making them myself but, am still just in the brainstorming process.

I'm thinking of getting a thing of cardstock from Staples for the cover, using paper on the inside and tying them together with a dark red ribbon (to match the bridesmaids dresses).

I've seen some really good homemade programs and I've seen some not so good ones so it depends on what you're looking for!

I had a jewish wedding, so no church programs. But we had alot of customs most of our guests wouldn't have understood without programs.

We made them (I mean, I made them ) myself using paper I bought at staples, and just using microsoft word. We used two pieces of paper for each program printed front and back. This is a picture of how they came out:

Total cost to make myself : approx $40

TY. I guess people are making them themselves more now, so that sounds good. I will head to Staples tomorrow.

Thanks !

Thats a really good point about the different parts of the wedding ceremony.

And I liked the little ribbon attachment on the side.

Thanks for the good info.

(oh and I was really glad to see that your cost was approximately $40 !!!! )

Thanks again !

I did mine with programs from Staples, it was heavier card stock. I have also seen some that are done with paper that don't look cheesy
