I'm not sure how to give the guests the church programs....is everyone leaving them on the pews...or having the ushers hand them out...I am afraid by leaving them on the seats not everyone will get one, and at the same time...I don't trust the ushers to actually hand them to anyone ....
what is everyone else doing?

I have always seen these passed out.
Just make sure whoever has to pass them out is there early and remembers to do it!

WOW - you found something I have not thought of yet!!!! (And I have been thinking about anything and everything NON STOP since we booked our RH last week!)
I think either would work... I personally think having someone put them on the seats would be easier and more fool-proof if you have SEATS not bench-pews. In the pew case, yes, you're right - it's possible that no everyone would get one since you never really know how many people will sit in a pew.

i had 2 friends pass them out so the ushers could focus on ushering the guests down the aisle

I am going to have two trays that I am making for my programs and my future nieces and best friends daughters will be making sure each guest gets a program. We figured that this way they a playing a part in the wedding.

I had 2 of my cousins hand out the programs. They loved it and it made them feel part of the wedding because they weren't in the wedding party. In pews you never know how many people will sit and it people will pass the programs down the row.
I have seen ushers hand them out and also baskets at the back of the church for people to take.

i had two good friends of mine stand at the entrance to the sanctuary...they were handed out as people walked it.

We had family friends to hand them out. Ask people that you trust will do it correctly.

I would pick two people or your children to stand at the doors of the church and hand them out. I see it as a job for two people that you want invovled in the wedding but could not put in the bridal party.
