Re: CHURCH QUESTION
Churches wont do 'quick and snappy'. A RCC will do just a ceremony but is still about 30-40 minuets. If you call they will make an appt for you guys to go in and talk with a priest and set a date. Its not as bad as you think when you go.

Re: CHURCH QUESTION
actually its not a long ceremony...I mean we got the full mass and thats 45 mins, other than that its 20-30 mins.
Just call and ask if they have your date available and thats it...After that if they do they will ask you what time and any other questions they need to ask.
Theres nothing to be nervous about...I had to do it with the church i am getting married at and i dont go to church and i am not even catholic and getting married in a catholic church.
So just focus on date and time for now.

Re: CHURCH QUESTION
I know how you feel, I was soooo nervous to call the church....mainly because I havent been there in so long and didnt know what to expect!
But just call and tell them you are planning on getting married and would like to find out the process of getting married in their church. Then if they have the book available, ask them if your date is available.

Re: CHURCH QUESTION
Don't worry. I'm sure they'll welcome you with open arms. They just want to know when you want to set a date and tell you about precana

Re: CHURCH QUESTION
Just explain to the pastor or father that you are getting married on a Monday and you would like to know if he or she is willing to do the ceremony. I am getting married on a Tuesday and it's not a problem.
If you don't ask you won't know..

Re: CHURCH QUESTION
I know what you mean, I'm not a church goer either and the whole interview thing makes me nervous! I'm afraid to say I don't go to church but at the same time you can't lie!
