When do you pay for the church? I am looking to make an appt and I know the church charges 1000 and I want to know when I have to pay it.

I'm not sure since I didn't book a church, but you might need to leave them a deposit when you book the church, so I would bring a check with you just to be prepared.

my church didnt make us give a deposit- I think we pay when we meet with the priest after we've done our precana- they didn't have a porblem holding our date without a deposit.

We put down a $200 deposit to hold the date.
Then on the day of our wedding we have to give our priest two checks (one for $200 - covers the cost of music and the other for $750 - donation). As long as our ceremony starts on time, nothing is thrown (flowers, rice, bird seed) and none of our BP members are drunk, we get our $200 deposit back.

my fiance is jewish and my pastor wont marry us in the church but my church doesnt charge it goes by donation and its supposed to made on the day of the dinner rehersal i believe

My friend just had her wedding and they asked for the money the night of the rehearsal.
