Hi everyone, my name is Jackie and I am new here! I have a question, my grandmother knows the priest who is going to marry us pretty well. He told her that me and FH need to see him about 3 times before our wedding, does anyone know what this is about? I know one of them is the rehearsal... lol thanks !!!

Re: Church Questions
Are you catholic? Maybe it is for Pre-Canor?
Or to go over the ceremony?

Re: Church Questions
we actually have to see ours more than that...once was to meet, another time was to discuss separately some personal(but not invasive at all) questions, another time was to pick our readings, eventually for our rehearsal, and we also have to meet with the organist to discuss song choices...there may be more that I am forgetting

Re: Church Questions
I'm protestant and getting married in a protestant church. Most ministers will require meeting with you 2-3 times for pre-wedding counseling.

Re: Church Questions
it's usually just little pre-marital counseling sessions. piece of cake. no worries! usually any priest would want this...we actually took a 13week pre-marital course before ours! we didn't know what to think of it all at first, but it ended up being really valuable & interesting information! best thing we ever did - dont worry about it
