Church readers etc HELP

how many readers do I need and do i need people to bring up the gifts???

am i late on asking people to do these???



also.. how long before your wedding did you go and meet with church to arrange all the details??

if ure having a catholic mass - there is the first (old testament) and second reading (new testament) that 2 people could do.

then i think someone can read the responsorial psalm and the prayer for the faithful but im not sure...that might depend if u have a cantor/church person. im confirming with our priest this saturday. but i have 4 places to list 'read by' ...those 4 things i listed.

for the gifts....usually 2 people do it but ive seen 3.

i dont think its too late to ask.

and our priest told us when to meet with him. we met with him before to discuss stuff. and we're meeting with him 5 months before as per his request cuz he's going away on vacation. then we have to contact the music person. did u get a packet that says when u need to return forms/information on vendors by?...im confirming all the details 2 weeks before (like with all my vendors and such).

thank you so much!!! so that is 3 people i need for readings and 2 or 3 for gifts correct?

Im such a bad bride. I know they emailed me with info on the church music but i dont think they told me when to meet with them. Im going to have to call (there is too much crap to make sure you do and get done - haha)

what do i need to have - baptismal, communion and confirmation and precana certificate.. anything else im missing>?

if u have a church person helping with the mass...they can probably do all the readings. if you want more people involved...then max 4 if u want each person to do 1 thing...

prayer of the faithful

at least that's what i have for a full mass....im not sure if any of these things are omitted for just a ceremony.

you could have 1 person read more than 1 thing etc. or i think if u dont have enough people the priest can read some things (maybe).

same with the gifts...u can ask 2 people (or 3 if cant just pick 2)...but if u dont want to...ive seen the altar boys or church people bring it down.

i have to give them the stuff u said and the marriage license (and then a form describing the ceremony and vendor forms).

We are having a full mass. now we have to think who we want to pick to do readings =-)
